BCM A1 Analogue Sensor Signal Conditioners

Model A1 Analogue Sensor Signal Conditioner (SSC) is designed as a low profile SSC to be used with any sensors which are built with Wheatstone bridge circuit. It amplifies an input (i/p) millivolt signal of sensors to a standard analog signal which can be directly input to a PLC (programmable logic controller) or any computer based data acquisition systems.

Overview

A1 SSC can process the i/p sensitivity from 1mV/V to 12mV/V and the sensor is powered by an excitation voltage in a range of 5, …, 10 Vdc. A1 SSC provides a factory pre-set regulated excitation voltage (5, …, 10 Vdc) to the sensor. The o/p signal of A1 SSC can be either the current loop (4~20 mA) or the voltage signal (0~5 Vdc or 0~10 Vdc). The “offset” and “span” of the o/p signal of A1 are adjustable via two potentiometers located at the o/p end of A1 (refer to the diagram below).

The circuits of A1 SSC are protected by an anodized aluminum housing. The A1 SSC is produced to have environment protection level IP65.
